In December 2020 Summit Africa, a prominent Black Private Equity Manager backed by 27four Investment Managers, concluded its investment in Efficient Financial Group. Efficient Group, established in 1999, offers a wide range of financial services, including bespoke financial advice, wealth management, and investment planning. Summit Africa’s investment aims to enhance Efficient Group’s capacity to deliver accessible and tailored financial solutions to South Africans across diverse demographics.
Through its Summit Private Equity Fund I (SPEF I), Summit Africa has actively supported Efficient Group’s transformation agenda since the initial investment in December 2020. The collaboration has accelerated the implementation of Efficient Group’s Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) strategy, enabling greater market access for previously underserved communities. Summit Africa has also played a pivotal role in identifying black industry experts and fostering key investment opportunities to drive this initiative further.
In addition to advancing transformation goals, Summit Africa has assisted Efficient Group in strengthening its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS). These efforts align with both organisations’ shared vision of achieving sustainable development while delivering measurable financial returns.
